Imus returns
Imus, Imus, Imus, why is he back? After his little incident 7 1/2 months ago why is he allowed back on air? I don't care that he apologizes, he is just as bad as Howard Stern and shouldn't be allowed to be aired. It's people like him who keep the sexist, homophobic, racist people around.
In the article that I cited above, it mentions in Imus's new show that he will have at least one black person with him on the show. What I just heard on Larry King Live was that there are two black comedians on there with him on the show. I think Imus is trying to play us. Putting two black people on the show, what does that prove? Nothing, putting two black comedians to back the fact up that he is racist does not correct the damage you've already done or make you non racist. Its a joke, a slap in the face. What is Imus trying to prove, that he's indestructible?
Like Howard Stern is anyone we should listen to either. If your going to put Imus back on have him with Stern; the two of them will make the perfect couple on paid radio. If people are going to tune out, why bother putting him back on anyways? I highly doubt people are going to stop tuning in, however, it wouldn't surprise me if there is some kind of backlash like a protest or something, but in a big way, not just some fanatics that might be sitting outside on a daily basis.

It's like saying Britney Spears will be a great mother someday or that Hollywood stars won't be a bunch of rich people on drugs and alcohol. Those people have high hopes over this idiot. Something that the Larry King Live show brought up is the point of upcoming presidential elections and the new president. He has fine line that he could cross, he may have Hillary Clinton, or he may have Barack Obama to contend with. So if he's not careful now he will have to be later, because he may make a comment about the female or the black president.

Al Sharpton believes that we should "Wait and see" but from what I'm hearing I think Al Sharpton highly doubts Imus will stick around for long, as Sharpton was the one who led Imus to his firing in some sense. Imus calls it "a life changing experience". Pfff, yea dude you totally rocked the US with that comment. It's life changing because you were stupid enough to say it. Its life changing because you sued CBS for firing you. I sure in hell think they had the right to.
My boyfriend also brought up a point that if Imus was black, he wouldn't have been fired. Which yea, I can totally see that. That is really sad though. And its really sad even after the 1960's and all this that black people have done over the years to prevail and yet we are still playing the race card.

Imus' nemesis, Howard Stern, told The Associated Press in a recent interview that his acerbic competitor's career had peaked.
"At this point, I don't think he's very relevant," Stern said. "People will tune out within a week. I defy you to listen. It's like a rodeo you know, see how long you can ride a bull? See how long you can keep listening to Imus."
